1. I have practiced since 1992. I have been a Guardian ad Litem for Leicester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Inner and North London panels and acted for the Official Solicitor on the best interests of the patient with severe impairment in intellectual functioning since 1996. . Assessments for Judical Reviews and immigration cases..I have a particular interested in assessments of parents in private and public law proceeding.
2 Trained in Pams and Adult Attachment and assessing this. Completed infant observation training at the Tavistock clinic, story stem and I use these techniques in my work. Complete around 20 assessments a year in Pakistan I undertake assessments in India and Bangladesh. I can speak Urdu and Punjabi/Mirpuri. I am originally from Azad Kashmir. I have expertise in undertaking assessments of Pakistani, Indian and Bangadeshi families. I also undertake assessments in Eastern Europe. I am very cautious about risk factors and I take full precautions particularly in Pakistan. I have links with the security services to ensure my assessments are safe.
3. Assessments of children and families where there has been physical, sexual and emotional abuse of children of all ages.
4. I have particular expertise in undertaking parenting assessments, viability
assessments and specialist assessments for court public/private law proceedings in the Uk and Abroad. Particular interest in working with marginalised groups and cross cultural work using therapeutic skills in my assessments.
6. I am accredited social work practice Educator and I worked for a number of Uk universities.
7. I am a trained Counsellor. .I have a particular interest in working with young Asian women. I was involved in setting up Kiran Asian women's Refuge in East London in 1990. I have a particular expertise in forced marriages, honour based violence and radicalization cases.
