I went in and applied for a security position with this company as soon as I got to this office I was met with hostility the receptionist was ver rude I went on their computers a filled out the application I was told that once they did a criminal background check and if it came back clean they would have me come to the orientation so I waited 2 weeks and I didnt hear from them,So I called and inquired about my application and once again they were rude and kept switching me around to different offices, to this day I have never receive any response from them.I have over 13yrs of Security experience plus I had prior firearms training and I have a clean criminal history,They hired guys who had a lot less experience than I have.

    I read GlassDoor online for the skinny on companies and jobs. Another way to get the real facts is type the company name in Face Book.. and past employees will tell you all the pitfalls. They may even suggest a better company hiring they are happy with. Good luck. You can post your opinion on Face Book as well.

      Have you written a polite letter of enquiry to a human resources/ personnel manager outlining your concerns about the process of applying to their company? In this letter, ask for feedback on your application and for the reasons you were not shortlisted/hired. Be polite, use descriptive rather than accusatory terms (e.g., "The receptionist did not respond when I asked how to apply, to pointed to the computers and continued speaking to what appeared to be a friend" not "Receptionist was rude")
