attached are pics of some of the mistakes left by the contractors...
In 2015 I entered into a contract with Modular Homes of Texas and Athens. They were to build a modular home. We worked out the details and everything seemed great. In Feb 2016 we moved into our new house. We were informed to annotate any discrepancies and notify them. We were also given a list for the warranties. I submitted the list in March 2016. They came out a few times, but each time left before the job was finished. I kept calling Athens. Each time, I was told a different reason. The worker got in a wreck, it was the holidays, it is the other persons job, etc. Then I was informed that I had signed off the completion. This was impossible because I have been dealing with a bad wrist( 2 surgeries, and in cast, brace, etc) and was unable to do much. When I asked to see the form, they stopped communicating. I have left numerous messages and email but no one has answered. One of the case workers that I was dealing with has left the company. Some of the issues include: a floor that is uneven, with rolling hills; a cracked bathtub and shower, closets that were never completed or had drywall in them, gaps in the floor from the wood being cut too short, electrical issues, electrical outlets did not work, shortages, flickering lights, wood that is poking up and my kids have stubbed their toes on it, a broken door, unsealed holes to where snakes and mice came in so we had to find the holes and seal them and were told by the company to buy peppermint to keep the mice out, drywall that is uneven and cracked, gaps in the trip and base, uneveness, dips in the floor, broken counter tops, sinks/tubs that were uncaulked and water got under the counters, every appliance installed i have had to call the warrenty on them. lights that were not installed as per contract, they said that only walk in closets had lights- all of my my closets are walk in as i can fit my 2 kids, my dog, myself and my husband in all closets, the outside of the house: we had to nail the shingles on our house because they kept falling off, there are gaps in each corner where the the house doesnt meet so they filled it in with some kind of foam, the siding also had to nailed on. i have been extremely patient and have taken off many days of work for these people. however, it has been 2 years and the issues have not been resolved.
