Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My radiator was leaking awful, I thought I was going to a business that has a great reputation. When I got there ARC, which had been in business for years was sold to Automart Radiator Co. They placed my radiator, for $269.00 on November 25, 2012 two days later my power steering I could hardly move. Took my truck back supposedly fixed my power steering and come January 2014, I thought I had a terrible oil leak. My husband and I decided to take our truck to Moss Brothers dodge, my truck is a Ford, which was close where I volunteer Moss Brothers was closer. We had to replace our radiator one more time at a cost $ 282.00 and they still are not sure where the leak is because from the front of my truck to the tailgate is full oil and transmission fluid. I called the business twice telling me I would get a call back and of course no message by the next day I was livid I would only get a credit on the radiator, and they were surprised why I did not bring my truck back. Highly pissed I told them I would not take my truck back if they are the one who screwed it up in the first place. Awful service and wasted money which I don't have."

  • I was NEVER told the radiator was life time warranty. They NEVER tried to call me I was the one doing the calling. A few days later my power steering was affected which their employee said was fixed. These people do not tell the truth or the whole story. I still have the radiator they sold me, so I don't know what he's talking about there. The employee told me over the phone the owner installed my radiator. Dodge said it was installed incorrectly and fluid and gunk runs from under front of under my truck to the bumper. Never I had this problem before. There service is awful and theses people are not truthful.

The radiator was installed incorrectly you screwed up my truck and the power steering was affected because your employee fixed the power steering. I brought back my truck two days later to have the problem fixed which you guys screwed up. And telling the Better Business, you were no where need the power steering is a big FAT LIE. I still have the crappy radiator you installed and I still have the receipt showing what you charged me for the radiator. Your crappy a business. I'm so sorry ARC sold to you.rmation here

The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • "customer was informed at time of quote over the phone that the radiator was lifetime warranty. in person the customer was also informed the radiator was a life time warranty. All my radiators sold here are under lifetime warranty. At time of doing the work the power steering was never touched its not even part of doing the radiator work. when the customer called back I asked her if she wanted her money back I would need the radiator back that I sold her so I could send it back to the company I bought if from. she then informed me that dodge kept the radiator. I then told her with out the radiator I can not refund her money back. she told me she would call the dodge dealer and see if she could get it back and I told her to get it and call me back.

    Silla Automotive’ warranty of its products to be free of all defects in material and workmanship, as limited herein, shall be in lieu of and exclusive of all other warranties, except warranties implied by law. All warranties, whether expressed or implied including warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose extend beyond description herein, are expressly disclaimed.

    This warranty covers any parts furnished by Silla Automotive, but does not include labor and materials of any kind not furnished by Silla Automotive. This warranty is extended to and enforceable only by the first purchaser at retail.
