Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On April 6, 2012 Blake Granville Tyra And I (Shantel Marie Turnpaugh) moved into an apartment at 3168 Eaglesway Dr. Apt. 1766 Lafayette, Indiana 47909 (Pheasant Run). Joetta J. McCracken was the Co-signer of the agreement (Grandmother). Both parties agreed to pay equal portions through out the lease agreement (one year lease agreement). On August 26, 2012 Blake broke up with me and I moved out willingly because he had no where to go and we had agreed he would pay the rent in full since I was no longer living there and had to pay rent somewhere else. I did not live there in September and half of October, he succeeded to pay Septembers rent but did not pay Octobers and I had to pay for a full month of October with no help. Around the end of October/ the beginning of November Blake had quit his job; leaving me to pay Novembers rent by myself as well. The day after Thanksgiving of 2012 Blake had brought up that he wanted to move to his cousins in Burlington, Indiana. That very next day he moved out. I told him I was going to need help with the bills and he agreed. From that day forward I did not receive any help on his half of the bills. Also to add there were damages to the apartment that were also incurred by him. What I am asking for is payments for damages and his portion of rent and bills. I had damages on the apartment as well totaling around $400.00, and the total amount for damages all together plus the sixty day notice of renewing our lease fee was around $1500.00 (the sixty day notice since it was not signed on time it was 2 months of rent at $499.00) . The rent was in total $469.00 a month making $234.50 each month on his behalf so from October- April he would've had to pay $1,641.50 in rent. Causing his total amount to be $2,200.00.
Sincerely,
Joetta J. McCracken and Shantel M. Turnpaugh"
