Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"In 10th grade I was required by a teacher to create a blog, using my real name, for class. Nine years later this blog still comes up whenever my name is Googled. I have tried several times to remove the blog, but I cannot seem to access it from any email account that I have access to - including the one that is listed PUBLICLY on the blog.

My blog is not a matter of public interest and does not serve the public's "right to know." I wrote it (not by choice), I am the sole content provider, and I want to delete it. "The right to be forgotten" should apply to anything ever written by a child.

Apart from anything else Google is publicly posting my email address, which has caused me to receive a lot of spam email and unwanted attention from pretty unsavory characters.

I want Blogger/Google to remove my blog or show me how to remove it myself, so that the search results for my name are relevant to my life now.

When I searched ways to remove a blog there were tons of hits from people in a similar situation to me, but there appears to be little help from Google - which now owns Blogger - in fixing the issue. I have tried and failed, multiple times, to contact Google."

"I have a blogger blog and found the delete button. Perhaps this may help: Sign into the google account you used to create the blog. Go to www.blogger.com. On the left panel, click "Settings (gear symbol)". Then under "settings", click "other". The "delete blog" link is the 2nd item in the list in the center panel. One advocate for better understanding of your legal rights online is the "Electronic Frontier Foundation". Their website is www.eff.org. They are known for some of their cases helping young people who get in legal trouble over technology (free speech, unauthorized usage, copyright, etc.), which is a different problem than yours but still you might try contacting them at legal@eff.org. "Helpful response from Paul Brewer, but I suspect that the problem might be signing into the Blogger account, possibly since the change in ownership or system upgrades. I have the same problem - I am no longer able to access a very old Blogger account, and Google's infuriating system has only sent me cut-and-paste responses that don't resolve the problem. You cannot talk to a real person. Fortunately the account is not in my real name, so I don't have quite the same problem as this young person. Perhaps flagging it as "Fake News" would move Blogger's laggardly butts?"

A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart.
