Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"In June 2010, I purchased a Nikon S8000 from Camera Corner Connecting Point, Incorporated (Camera Corner). In September of 2012, the camera needed to be sent in for repairs, as the unit would turn on and off without being prompted by the user. In September 2014, the camera again needed to be sent in for repairs for the same reason.

I purchased the camera from Camera Corner, as I expected a greater degree of customer service and assistance from the company than that which I could expect from a big box store. My expectations were unrealistic, as the service I received was discipcable. Instead of being greeted with courtesy and respect, the representative from the company accused me of mis-handling my camera and causing the malfunction. He was not willing to send the camera to Nikon until I pushed the issue and insisted it be sent for repairs.

After waiting a month to hear back from Camera Corner, I was informed that my camera was, in fact, "a lemon" that could not be repaired. The company offered me a refurbished camera as a replacement. However, I did not purchase a refurbished camera. I purchased a new camera and I believe I should receive a new camera as a replacement for a manufacturing defect. A Nikon S8000 is not a disposable camera that customers should expect to replace after four years."
