Claimant says:
"Chase bank's employee at the Cedar springs branch in Michigan assisted Karol of same city in the forgery and withdrawal of $27, 969.21 from my checking account no.856725320 by writing checks that I had left by mistake in the office of her business. I did maintenance lawn mowing etc. for her. The employee that assisted her was her best friend. Chase refused to reimburse me because I did not file the claim within the prescribed 31 days it says in the fineprint of my paperwork I had not checked my account statement because I was on my honeymoon and did not know about it until a chase employee informed me about some irregularities just a couple days after the 31 days were up. I then closed my account with chase and have been fighting with them ever since. they told me that I should get a lawyer I have discussed this with their legal department to no avail. Chase did demote the employee and almost fired her for her assistance in the fraud. I actually was at the bank in a timely manner but the employee at the bank who assisted in the theft actually waited on me and told me she would get back with me and never did and that put me over the 31 days. At that time i didn't know I was dealing iwth the accomplice to the crime."
