Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I found this company on the internet via Networx. The man who says he owned this company came to my home because I was having an animal problem--in my wall. It is something that's happened several times before & I was sick of it. There was scratching, clawing & endless noise in my dining room wall. Then it stopped & the animal evidently died because the dead animal smell was overpowering & lasted for quite awhile. So it was happening again & I had had it. He came & diagnosed the problem as possibly bats or mice. There was a small hole in my attic vent screen. He also found evidence of carpenter bees & woodpeckers were damaging my siding as well. So he treated all of those (for a ridiculous price I might add). The bats tho he said required a special door to be able to get out & not get back in & he would return in several weeks to take out the door & replace the screen in my attic with a special anti-wildlife screen to prevent future problems. He also said the work was guaranteed for several years. So he didn't return on the appointed day & will not call me back to finish the work (remove the bat door & replace the screens as stated). Also I am hearing some other animal in my attic chewing. Obviously there are more animals to deal with covered under his quarantee. . After numerous messages left on his phone I am very frustrated & angry. I feel ripped of. He didn't finish the work & isn't honoring his quarantee either. He overcharged me & will not finish his work or honor his quarantee."

  • Hi, just a suggestion: it may help if you are clearer in the claim about what you want. You said in your written description what the problem is — they charged too much and didn't finish the job, but this doesn't show up in your claim demands. If you go back and edit your claim you could enter these in so they will show up. For example, if you think they charged too much and you paid in advance, you could ask for a refund of some amount. You could also ask them to finish the job. If you did that, both a refund and a demand to finish would stand out in the claim. As it stands now, it looks like you want $25.97 in claim-filing costs and that you are open to an offer to make you happy.
