Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On 8/8/12 I took my 2002 Ford Taurus for a car wash. I purchased the $29.99 car wash which included mats taken out and pressured cleaned. I witnessed the employee take out the mats and pressure clean them. I did not realize until the next day that the mats were not in the vehicle nor were they in the trunk. I notified the facility on 8/9/12 and spoke with Jeff the manager/owner. He advised it happens all the time and that he would take care of it...I would email my address and an invoice of the cost of new mats. I emailed Jeff about a week later concerning the status of my claim. He advised that he did not think that we needed to talk again for he was going to have his accountant cut a check. He also insinuated at one point even if there were mats in the vehicle. With each email he became more annoyed and finally he stated he would process my complaint as a damage claim to his adjusters. I never did receive a check nor did I receive a damage claim as he is aware that it would be a 70 mile round trip for me to visit the facility again. I then called and spoke with Zack an employee and we filled out a claim over the phone. Never in our conversation did he state that I had to come in and sign the claim. One week later after another email sent to Jeff he advised me that he viewed the security camera and my vehicle did not have mats nor was I suppose to get mats cleaned for I did not get the $29.99 wash!! Finally I emailed him back advising that I would be visiting his facility on Tuesday, September 4th to sign the claim that was filed over the phone and that I wished to view the footage of my vehicle being washed. When I arrived I spoke with yet another manager and he proceeded to speak to me about getting the mats at a store and then he stated oh, you are not that lady, so obviously they have lost someone else's mats. The manager I spoke with did not know about my situation, nor the claim I asked to be ready to sign...I asked to see the footage of my vehicle being washed and he looked at me like I had 3 heads. I had to fill out another claim form and everytime he went into the office it took him a while to return. I feel that the manger/owner Jeff was present all the time and did not want to face me. I feel there was never any intention to make good. It has now been 30 days since the incident and still no floor mats or damage costs. Jeff the manager/owner does not like to communicate with his customers. Jeff, the manager needs to make good on his promise of reimbursement. I would suggest to anyone who wants to keep their floor mats during a car wash, do not go to Daves Auto Spa. I am have patience and when I do receive my damage costs I will let all who read this, and if not, I will just write a nice review to Dave's Auto Spa in the near future."
