Claimant says:
"I bought a used vehicle from this dealership. I was told by the salesman that the vehicle came with a 30 day/1000 mile warranty although I never received any paperwork. In the first 30 days I had to have a lot of work done to this vehicle. New tie rod ends, alignment, heater core, heater box, heater fan, front & rear transmission seals, transmission pan gasket, Replaced both window switches, Two tires had to be replaced due to flat spots, and still have a lot of work left to do. The gas tank is held up with plumbing straps that need to be replaced. The transfer case has a seal out of it and leaking transmission fluid. The dash lights are wired into the stereo so when you pull the head lights on, the stereo shuts off. The passing gear cable is melted so it doesn't work. All of the work that was done within the 30 day warranty was brought to the dealerships attention. They declined to help pay for any of the repairs or refund any of my money back. Therefore, I didn't waste my time talking to them about the problems that still need to be repaired. They did give me a whole $100.00 off of my sales tax. The salesman said that was the best he could do for me. Very poor customer care!!"

  • I did some research on your claim. Because you were told that there was some limited warranty available for your car, while it wouldn’t fall under a lemon law, each state has what are called Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices laws. If it was verbally represented to you that there was some form of warranty included with the vehicle, you could potentially hold the dealership to that representation. You should talk to an attorney to find out some of the rights and remedies available to you.
