Claimant says:
"I had a contractor who was working on my den. He called in an electrician whom he'd worked with many times prior. He was George Huffman who praised the contractor many times during his few visits. George appraised the area as it was a den being taken off and supposed to be rebuilt. The concrete base had been laid and a few supports were up. George insisted he had to have supplies in the amount of $1400 to begin. He HAD to have this to accept the job and the contractor said give it to him as he would be worth it. I did. Shortly afterwards, the contractor broke plumbing and many other things including electric box, fencing, and more, refusing to repair, got angry that I said he'd be responsible for those, and walked off after collecting over half of the total amount he was to be paid. George refused to come back if the contractor was not there and he refused to refund my money. Said if I got the permits and the room built, he'd do the job. After being treated like this, I said I wanted my money back but he said no. The room is built, at less money, the electric is done for a lot less. I want my refund that these people lied to me just to get money out of me. I too am disabled like the electrician kept telling me he was and that was why he needed some extra money upfront for his knee surgery. He said he'd supervise his sons to do the work. I want my money back NOW since he refused to refund it and never did any work. He should add interest at this point. I don't care if he is 70, I am close to that myself. He cheated me."
