Claimant says:
"I paid for a job that was never completed. Alex, the owner of the business did some work and assigned one of his workers to complete the job. I paid him half the amount he was charging when he started and the last day told me he needed the balance so he could pay his workers before the weekend but it would be completed the following week. A week passed and nothing, I wrote him a letter referencing my concern for lack of completion and noting he had cashed the check for work not yet done. A few more weeks passed, I had called and left voice mail and sent another letter, still nothing. Another contractor saw him stop by and stick a business card in the door, that's all. Now over a month has passed and still nothing. I have had to hire another company to do the work I paid him to do as the missing spouting allows rain water to just pour down in a area I had installed since I am handicapped which was the initial reason he was hired to do work and put in railings for me in the first place. Now I am paying the same amount to a new company to do the work Gigliotti was paid to do. What recourse do I have? I would like a refund of some sort, as I said, needed to hire someone else to finish the job. Plus, they left a mess, debris, etc. which I had to pay to have hauled away."
