Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On Saturday September 22, 2012 I stop at the Good hands auto service at 10:15am to have my two rotors turned. I was told by the young lady that it would cost $15.00 each and it would take 30 mins. at 12:10p each and asked to come back in 1 hour and would be called when they were ready. After a hour and half I recieved no call, I returned to check on the status and the 1st rotor was still being cut. I asked why was it taking so long to cut two rotors. The guy stated the rotors was out of round I stated you don't surpose cut rotors that are out of round. My rotor was not out of round if they were they should be under warranty rotor. I left and returned at 2:00pm. The guy was cutting the second rotor. I questioned him about the first on which had groves in it. I asked what's going on with the machine, no rotors takes 2 hours to cut. The first rotor was rough. I asked if he had a gauge he said he did not, I asked how can you turn rotors without a gauge. I asked him to give me my rotors, I'll have checked if he has turn them beyond specifications. Both were rough. After checking with Advance, Auto Zone on Covinton Hwy I finally found a Auto part that mic and turn Rotors O'rally's in Lithonia. I explained my problem, before I could finish he looked at the rotors and asked me who cut them, their machine spring is bad giving the uneven cut. I asked them to mic them and they did. Only one could be smoothed out and one was beyond turning. It had to be replaced at a cost $45.99 and $10 fee for turning th second one it was .400 below required borderline. I returned to Good Hands auto 3846 Covington HWY. to let them know that had the rotors mic. by O'Railleys had cut too much off one and it had to be replaced. The Young Lady took the information and said I need to talk with the owner, he would be in about two hours. I asked what was his name, she stated Lee. I explained that I had to go to work, just have him to call me. After three hours I didn't recieve a call. I called him, he did not want to talk on the phone. Sunday I went by the business and Lee was present. I explained what I feel would bring closer. He stated he was just going to give me what I paid him for doing the job. I explained to him that's not good business. I asked him how do you turn rotors without a gauge to determine if they can be turned or has been cut beyond specification. He stated he did not need a gauge looking at my rotor that was cut beyond the allowed specification stating it was ok he turns rotors like this all the time with out a gauge. I aked him when was the last time he had the machine service he didn't know I asked if the guy cutting my rotor were certified to do the job. He asked me how do I know if he's certified or not. I asked him is he? He avoid the question. I express my displeasure with his decision and that I see him again. I know how to deal with people like him. I asked for my fees back for having the rotors turn $31.00. I recieved my 31.00 in cash back. I decide to contact BBB to try to resolve this dispute. I want $45.99 for the cost of relpaceing to rotor and $10.00 for correcting the turning on one rotor. Their you have it. Any assistance in resolving this dispute will be deeply appreciated."
