Claimant says:
"I rented an an apartment from Hunters Glen Co (AIMCO) in Sep 2011. When I called to get info they rushed me to rent the apartment on Sep 21st, however when I arrived the apartment was not ready the key was lost, their employees were repairing the apartment while in my name and utility in my name. Even on 5th of October when I arrived the carpet was not cleaned or shampooed. They never walked down to turn over the property to me. After few days I moved in on Sep 7th and found the refrigerator defrost not working and water leaks to the floor, bathroom caulking was incomplete, the washer hot water hose not connected, the dryer vent clogged and broken inside the wall pushing the lints into kitchen cabinets/apartment. It took them more than 5 months to fix portion of the problems, the dryer exhaust still not fixed. After I gave them 20 days notice went to their office & I was told to pay $1413 to bring the balance to zero. I received a call later that they made a mistake and I owe them another $2100. I told them I paid off my balance when I left and I don't owe anything. They sent another letter they made a mistake again and this time I owe them $1223 and if I don't pay they will ruin my credit rating. I asked them several times sending me an itemized list as how they arrived to this number, instead they turned over this to a collection agency (NCC in FL). NCC called and threatened me and I paid them $1072 to avoid messing up my credit rating. So far what I have paid is $1413 + $250 deposit + $225 extra rent I paid in Feb and recently $1072.
To date I have not received an itemized list. They kept on sending the same bill over and over, instead of making the changes I requested."
