Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I live in Virginia, Newport News, I bought Air Maroc Air Ticket through one of their agent on Phone for my Family due to Travel to United State on June 15, Amount $3,480.00. Air Maroc sent me an email that my Family's flight is canceled due to oporational problem, and was re-schedule to travel with them the next day, June 16. I call them to be sure, then again they told me the June 16 is also canceled, I then told them to cancel all the Tickets for my family so I can go get another Air line. Air Maroc have agreed to get a full refund, but can not cancel it for me and I should contact the Agents who booked the flight for me. upon contacting Justfly.com and explained my interest for the cancellation and even forwarded the email received from the Air Maroc to them, they are now holding my money telling me to $100.00. dollars for the Four Passengers before they can cancel the flight. I explained to them that I can only afford $50.00. dollars and also it is not my fault that the flight would be canceled, they just hang up phone on me and still holding my money that I have to use for another Airline Ticket for my Family.
I therefore needed your assistant to push them councel the Booking and refund the money back to my Bank so I can use it to buy another Ticket as soon as possible please.
The Booking number they gave for my Family from their office was: 102-918-782. and Royal Air Maroc Confirmation Number was: KQY3P9.
I shall be counting on your assistance please."

    Good day, This was already resolved and the tickets were voided. There is no claim here for refund as this authorization was released back in May. Please close this claim. Best regards, Customer Care Team

    In the event carriers allow full refunds (and this usually happens in case of a medical issue or if the original ticketed flights have been cancelled and no alternatives that would be acceptable for the passenger (within a reasonable alternative time-frame)) If the alternatives are more than 2 hours different from the originally purchased option, the passengers are entitled to a full refund. In your case, the agency simply wants to keep their commissions for the service they have provided (the actual service of finding an option, negotiating price with you and issuing the tickets). Which is understandable but also bad practice hence, in my point of view, a salesman should not obtain commission if the service was not provided to the passengers due to no fault of their own. Here are the options of solving it, based on the way the transactions happened: 1. The carrier is the one that charged your credit/debit card: you (the credit card holder) should contact them directly and inform them that the travel agency refuses to issue a full refund and request one with them directly. in the event they do not do so, you can inform them that you will contact your bank and dispute the charge 2. The travel agency charged your credit card. This means that even if the airline processes a refund, the money would return to the travel agency. In this case, you should contact justfly and inform them that, since the airline authorized a full refund, they should comply and reimburse you the entire cost of the ticket. 3. Contact your bank and inform that that you have a written authorization to obtain a full refund but the agency does not comply and dispute the charge. This usually gives you a provisional credit until the dispute is closed (usually lasts for 1-3 months), however, in your case, it can last much less. 4. Contact BBB (you can see the agency profile here: https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/san-francisco/profile/online-travel-agency/justflycom-1116-874140 ). Businesses tend to be far more cooperative when their online reputation is at stake. The first 3 options would help you obtain a full reimbursement of the airplane tickets. If you want for additional expenses to be reimbursed, I would suggest the 4'th option as this might convince the agency to send you a CK for the additional expenses you incurred while trying to settle the claim.
