Claimant says:
"I PURCHASED A 2012 POLARIS RANGER CREW 800 FROM KEEFERS QUALITY VEHICLE SALES ON 7-28-12. I BOUGHT IT EARLY THAT DAY AND THEY SAID TO COME BACK THAT EVENING AND IT WOULD BE CLEANED AND SERVICED. WHEN I CAME BACK AT CLOSING TIME IT HAD NOT BEEN TOUCHED BUT THEY SAID IT WAS READY TO GO AND GAVE ME A $120.00 GIFT CERTIFICATE BECAUSE IT WAS NOT CLEAN. WITHIN A WEEK I NOTICED THE LEFT FRONT SHOCK THUMPING,CALLED THEM AND THEY WERE BACKED UP FOR 3-4 WEEKS.THE SHOCK WAS SO BAD THAT I COULD NOT MAKE A FULL LEFT TURN OR HIT ANY BUMPS WITHOUT THE TIRE RUBBING THE INNER FENDER. SO I DECIDED TO LIFT IT. I PUT A 1-1/2" LIFT ON IT AND IT TOOK CARE OF IT UNTIL I COULD GET IT TO THEM. WHEN I RAISED THE VEHICLE WITH A JACK I NOTICED BOTH FRONT TIE ROD JAM NUTS WERE LOOSE AND HAD BACKED OFF ABOUT AN INCH ON BOTH SIDES (VERY DANGEROUS). THEN I DECIDED TO CHECK EVERYTHING ELSE TO BE SAFE. THE REAR END WAS 6 QUARTS LOW ON FLUID BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER CHECKED AT THE DEALER WHEN THEY SOLD IT AND THE SAME FOR THE TIE RODS.NOW IT HAS A FRONT AXLE POPPING AND CRACKING.NO PROBLEM, RIGHT.? WRONG,THEY SAID BECAUSE I PUT THE LIFT ON IT MY WARRANTY WAS VOID AND SO MY EXTENDED WARRANTY WOULD BE VOID TOO. THIS HAS 50 HOURS ON IT AND NEVER ABUSED. IN THE FINE PRINT YOU SIGN WHEN YOU PURCHASE YOUR ATV/UTV THERE IS A HIDDEN CLAUSE SAY ING YOU CAN'T TAKE THEM TO COURT IT HAS TO GO TO AN ARBITRATOR WHICH BY THE WAY COSTS $775.00 OUT OF YOUR POCKET WITH NO GUARANTEES TO WIN YOUR CASE. IT IS A BIG SCAM AND I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS AGAIN."

  • The dealership did not try to help. He said that they would pay half of the repairs which the total bill was over $1100.00. I should only have to pay my deductable that is $50.00. My side by side/utv only has 50hrs on it and has never been abused.Adult owned and driven. I will never deal with them again.

  • With an arbitration clause in a signed contract, you are obligated to use that form of resolution, whether you think it was hidden or not. It is up to the consumer to read and understand all the parts of the contract. Arbitration is used in lieu of litigation mainly for reasons of cost. Read the clause very carefully as it will outline your rights. Some arbitration clauses allow for mediation or facilitation before using arbitration. You will want to find out what organization (if any) will provide an arbitrator (some organizations include JAMS and AAA (American Arbitration Association), who chooses the arbitrator, what the $775 fee covers, if you recover that fee if the arbitrator decides in your favor etc...
