Claimant says:
"Peopleclaim allowed a claim to be posted against my company Submasters, with full knowledge it was false and did not involve my business in any way! It is a sad day for all business owners when antagonistic web sites such as peopleclaim make an income by threatening business owners with negative public postings. What’s even worse is the fact that it doesn’t seem to matter to them if a claim is completely false. They refused to even check into my complaint, I guess it doesn’t matter to them as long as they get their $7.95
I do not hold the original claimant, Mr. Boslet, responsible in any way. He made an honest mistake in naming Submasters as the company he had a problem with. We have since been in contact with each other and have cleared up the mistake. I’ve sent numerous emails to peopleclaim explaining there was a false claim made against me, the claim was a mistake and that my company was not involved in any way, but they refuse to remove my name from their sight. I have since started legal proceedings against peopleclaim and wish to inform members of this site that I could easily post slanderous and false statements against you and that peopleclaim would post it, regardless of it’s validity, for all to view as long as I paid their fee. It is a true indignity to have this shameless web site denigrate the reputable name of a business that I have worked so hard to build!"

  • Dear peopleclaim.com,
    Your response to my claim was full of self assuring drivel written by a babbling idiot! In one response you state you try your best to weed out “the anonymous griping/malicious/competitor component found on most sites.” and in the next you state “We cannot assess the merits or validity of any claims or other information posted on the PeopleClaim site by either party involved” Furthermore, you can try to disappear behind the protection of any law you chose to appoint, but be aware there are an abundance of laws made to protect businesses such as mine as well. If you still wish to refund my filing fees please feel free to do so immediately, but I want this claim against you to remain posted for all to see in the same manner you exposed my business to negative publicity in a situation I had no involvement in. It is sad that this could have easily been avoided. I informed you that Submasters was not the company involved, that we were mistakenly identified in this claim and that you only take a minute to review the claim and contact the plaintiff who was already aware of the situation. You respond by telling me it is not your policy to investigate. Where is your professionalism in this? Where is your public responsibility? Where is your decency and concern? At this point I wish to make a serious and more reasonable offer to you other than the $50,000.00 I originally requested. I will accept a cash settlement of $1000.00 to compensate me for my time in dealing with this fiasco and also request you remove Submasters from your registry. These terms will satisfy this matter and I will inform my legal team to stop all proceedings. Once more you are faced with a choice, an easy resolution or a costly legal battle. I am sure your lawyers do not work cheap, nor do mine and please believe me when I tell you that I am outraged at this entire situation and somehow I just cannot seem to let it lie unresolved. I am under the impression you find this to be a trivial matter and are not giving it the attention I believe it deserves. I truly hope you realize what you have done is wrong and the standardized, impersonal responses of non compliance you have sent me have only invoked my anger further. My attorneys have told me they are fully prepared to handle this matter and advised me that I am wasting my time corresponding with you at this point. They have assured me that for every law you rattled off that you believe will protect you, they have three more that will find you in violation, so if your ready to let the law dogs loose, lets do it, my animals are already tugging at the chains!

The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:

  • "Dear Mr. Daniels,

    We’re very pleased to see that the claimant marked his dispute with Submasters as resolved. We’re glad that you could come to an agreement.

    We do not, as you know, review or adjudicate claims but—again, as you know—the claimant was alerted to your response and concerns. Claim recipients can agree to a claim or negotiate; they may also state ‘This is not me’ and/or reject claims, with or without a reason, if they do not feel a claim has merit. If the claim is resolved or otherwise closed within the minimum 10-day negotiation period, nothing will ever be posted publicly. If a claim is resolved after posting, it will un-post.

    The public can view both sides of posted claims and may make up their own minds.

    Although the claim against Submasters has been closed and is not publicly viewable on PeopleClaim’s Registry, we cannot comply with your request to entirely remove Submasters from our registry since you have filed this claim, which will be publicly viewable upon posting.
