Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Someone filed a claim with peopleclaim against our organization. PeopleClaim threatened to take my company to regulatory bodies based upon a complaint in which the complaintant provided 0 supporting documentation or proof of this their claim. Unfortunately, this gives any individual anywhere the ability to extort money from an organization by way of legal threat and making public information that may or may not be accurate based upon a predetermined timeline set by PeopleClaim. Furthermore, in the case of this complaint, Peopleclaim conveniently offers the public the ability to see the requested settlement AND all circumstances of the situation as written by the complaintant, while only showing the public a settlement offer made by the "defendant" and none of the response. This is very lopsided and can create a situation where anyone (with zero supporting documentation) can railroad a company for money. In this case, the complaintant did not even have our company name right (which could damage the reputation of another company) and failed to address that. Had the complaintant provided any supporting documentation with the name of the company on it, it would have been obvious that it was misguided and inaccurate."

  • Dear Mr Sadowski,

We understand your concerns and we know that it's never fun to have a complaint filed against your company. We appreciate the opportunity to respond; we are refunding your filing fee, regardless of whether you close this claim or not.

    1) The claimant determines the timeline, but there's a minimum of 10 days before any claim could publish. This gives the responding party time to clear up any misunderstandings, tell the claimant that they actually got the wrong company, or make things right--by constructive negotiation, settlement, or simply talking things through. You can also ask to have the negotiation period extended if necessary.

    2) We do try to verify company name and contact information but the information is not always readily available. We encourage any business to make correct contact information available. Is the correct name for your company Resort Holdings International, LLC or Resort Transfers International, LLC? Both are associated with the provided address.

    3) We don't take sides, and we don't encourage anyone to settle a claim they believe to be bogus or unjustified. You have the opportunity to respond publicly if you can't resolve the claim. You can tell your side of the story; anyone reading a posted claim can then make up their own mind.

    4) There are many online forums in which dissatisfied customers or competitors can write whatever they want about a company anonymously, with no skin in the game whatsoever. On some sites the business must pay to respond--with no guarantee of even getting a return response--and must buy a membership in order to correct company information. One large franchise makes the decision about which party is correct, without supporting information and with no right to appeal.

What's different about our site is that we do our best to notify you; you get the chance to resolve the complaint or respond to it fully and publicly; and the claimant must agree to our terms of use. If the claim is resolved, it will be un-posted. You don't need to be a member to respond and we won't try to sell you advertising. Our goal is to help you and the other party resolve a dispute in a constructive, fair and cost-efficient way.

Our hopes are that you can negotiate an equitable resolution with the party that filed against your company.

Please let us know if you have other questions or concerns. If you have any difficulty posting your side of the story, a tech will be happy to walk you through it.

  • Just checking back in as we haven't had a response from you--is the name of your company that had a complaint Resort Holdings International, LLC or Resort Transfers International, LLC? Both names are associated with the address given. We will take care of the correction as soon as we get confirmation from you. We are happy to correct contact info as long as we can verify it.
