Claimant says:
"In December of 2015 we had the builder (MHI Plantation homes) come out and do an elevation report due to severe cracking in drywall, several tiles including the entire master shower due to tiles shifting. The report came back as a possible plumbing leak that they had decided not to do anything about at that time. In March of 2016 we had the carpets in the living room pulled in anticipation of laying hardwood when we noticed a crack spanning the entire lenght of the house. I immediately called MHI plantation homes and talked to Ontario the project manager and he told me they wouldn't send another structural engineer out till September and if I wanted it done I would have to do it myself. I called a private engineer out and he found the crack to be significant and a plumbing test was recommended. A few weeks later the test came back confirming that there was, in fact a leak under our foundation causing it to move.
This process has ben time consuming and stressful and all we wanted in return was out $465 dollars back for the Engineering Report that had to be done by no fault of our own. Called Chad the supervisor for MHI and he said "good luck getting refunded it won't happen" Want this resolved I feel as a home owned I've been taken advantage of and ripped off!!!!!"
