"As a home based travel agent I contacted Reko in Aug of 2010 to book a destination wedding in Aug of 2011. We agreed on gross and net prices for the guests and Reko insisted that guests payments be made directly to Reko. They pay him gross and after the event I would be paid from the net. George was very difficult to work with and refused to allow me to work with anyone else in his company. He often refused to talk to me or answer most of my emails. When he answered an email it rarely contained answers to my questions. Geirge decided he'd rather work with the groom. The groom was very upset over this entire process but we were too far into it to change vendors. I was sent invoices so I was contacting those who had not paid in full etc and in touch with the groom with all transactions. After the event I contacted George and sent him an invoice of what was owed to me. He stated he was not going to pay me because he "lost money on the event".This was definitely the most difficult vendor I have ever worked with and I kept all correspondence because I questioned his work ethics almost from the beginning. I have proof of all my claims and money due."

  • Yes, they are croocs, I purchased a trip to Costa Rica from George Tsapelis and Vicky Stepanou in the beginning if November, 2012. They took all my money upfront. 5 days before my departure I found out that Riu GUANCASTE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. but they DID send me confirmation with a reservation number. When i arrived in Arenal , Costa Rica I found out that my hotel Arenal Spring WAS NOT BOOKED. Instead of private transfer we had to change 3 buses to get to the other location. I think it's a typical scheme. We should file a mutual complain against both Reco Tour and Caribbean vacation located at the same adress . they are ALL connected.

  • I have the same problem. Seven months later still no commission. I just found out that they are not affiliated with ARC or IATAN; that means they are not a certified agency. Don't use them.

  • The man (George Tsapelas) who owns Reko Tours, Mediterranean Vacatios and several other agencies is nothing but a crook - definitely running a Ponzi. He stole over $24,000 from me. He needs to be prosecuted. There are many more people out there that he has also stolen money from.
