Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I purchased a used vehicle from riverside premier motors on august 1,2012. Two days after I took posession of the vehicle I noticed the brakes were grinding very badly, I called the dealer who had me bring the vehicle back to have their mechanic fix the problem. Before I could return the vehicle for service it shut off on me in the middle of traffic. I had the vehicle towed to GT PIT STOP in San Bernadino. I was told by riverside premier motors that I could have to have the vehicle towed there because that was the repair shop they used. On recieving my vehicle back i was told by one of the mechanics there "i believe his name to be Kody" that they replaced the fuel pump as well as the gas gage because it was not registering how much gas was in the vehicle,, as well as they fixed the brakes, he said the pads were completely gone and he said the put on new rotors and calibers on the front brakes only. The brakes seem to have been fixed., however approximately a week later i noticed my back passengr door would not open from the inside as well as my passenger window would not roll up or down. I contacted the dealership once again about the new problems again they had me take the vehicle in for service. I also noticed my engine light was on. I contacted the dealership again about these new problems, once again they told me to bring the car in for service. I did. The morning after i picked the vehicle up my engine light was on again. They told me they replaced the gas cap and the engine light went off, they assumed that was the problem without even considering dropping the gas tank and taking a closer look to find out if there were additional problems with the fuel tank. And by this time my passenger widow as well as the driver"s side window stopped working again. On saturday september the 8th i was riding in the vehicle with my children when the vehicle just stopped in the middle of taffic, this was a vry scary situation for me as wll as my children. I immediately contacted the dealership and made them aware of this. So on sept. 9,2012 i returned the vehicle for the third time and i was told by the gm who's name is Frank that he was gonna have the car checked out by someone he knows that is a specialist in repairing all Ford vehicles.I have expressed to several employees at riverside premier motors how dissatisfied I am with the performance of this vehicle and how i would like a different vehicle for the same purchase price or my monies back for the down payment. Riverside premier motors has refused to do either. They just keep telling me they're gonna corrct the problem. I have not been able to enjoy the vehicle since i bought it. They refused to give me a loaner car so i'm out of tranportation and a large sum of money right now. I would never recommend this business to anyone."

    "We Helped The Customer As We Should To Correct Any Issues with The Truck , She Took Delivery Of The Truck And It was Mechanically Sound , The Warranty Covers 30 Days 1,000 Miles On Engine And Transmission Only ! We Are Fixing Any Issue That She Has With The Truck At No Extra Charge , We Feel The Customer Is Over Reacting , And We Never Turned Our Back On Her . Even Though We Have Her Signature On The Buyers Guide In Which She Acknowledges That Only Engine And Transmission Are Covered . In The State Of California There is "NO COOLING OFF PERIOD " Unless you Obtain A Contract Cancellation Option , Which She Refused To Get ( We Have Her Signatures). The Owner Here Is Very Understanding Of The Problems That A USED Vehicle Might Have In The Future , This Is Why The Repairs Are Being Done At No Extra Charge Even Though We Are Legally We Are Not Supposed To Fix The Issues That The Customer Is Complaining About ."

  • The claimant should take the car to another mechanic and seek a second parties opinion. We recently purchased a car from these people. We took the car into an auto shop, they checked out our car and said the car should have never have passed smog with as many problems as it has. In the state of California it is against the law to sell a car that has not passed smog. If they do not help with my car I will file a complaint against them with the Auto Bureau/Department of consumer affairs and the DMV.
