Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"We shipped our freight through FREIGHT CENTER @ SAIA Trucking and Freight Company. The package we shipped were Hitachi Smart Boards. The package we shipped had insurance for damages. The carier SAIA was extreemly negligent in shipping my package cracking and causing the Smart Boards to be unusable. We filed an insurance claim with the company and their response was that the package they transported was damaged before it was shipped. They never even came to look at the damage. The truck driver who delivered the Smart Boards even marked on the receipt there was apparent damage. I believe that the trucking company is collecting insurance premiums without doing any due dillagence for their own negligence. Damage to the package in question was obvious.
How can a company deny a claim when they havnt even looked at the damage to the package? That question is very obvious, they collect premiums and never have any intintion of ever paying for a legitimate claim. Deny, Deny, Deny... I have lost the use and value of the 2 Hitachi Smart Boards worth a great deal of value. This should not be allowed for any company to collect insurance premiums with no intention of ever paying for damages for their companies negligence. I have wasted so much time on this issue, not to mention distress of spending my time and aggravation of even dealing with this issue.
I write this request so that others out there never deal with these companies because they will never take responsability for their company's negligence for damages performed by their company. If you ship with them and pay for insurance you will be paying money for a service that they will never pay for. I believe that this is fraud and the companies need to be exposed.
The damages to my property shipped through their companies is obvious and verified through their own drivers and the shipped to customer. I will get paid one way or the other through the courts. I will be filling law suit against these companies very shortly. I hope the courts will compensate my company for all legal fees and damage to my property which is now unusable. Prior to shipping with them each of the two smart boards opperated perfectly.
This request is to settle my case for monies that are owed to me and my company for shipping negligence by freight Center and SAIA trucking Company.
