Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I took my 1996 Ford Explorer truck to T Roy's Transmission shop to get fix. I spoke with (Twan) who was responsible for the truck getting fix I paid ( Twan) 1,000.00 or more. after he was done I pick up my truck the next day the truck broke down. I called Twan and he have my truck towed back to the shop he kelp it to see why the truck stop the whole time (Twan) and I talked back and forward about what he was doing to fix the truck two weeks went by I called (Twan) back about the truck Twan said he think I needed a motor. I said ok he ask me if I wanted to sell the truck . I told him no cause my daughter needed the truck so I would not have to take her back and forward to work cause it was running me late for work when ever I had to take her to work he said I understand. he (Twan) call me a week later and said he found two motors one was too much money and the other one was no good he said he will keep looking and let me know when he found one I said fine he ask me again was I sure I didn't want to sell the truck cause he knew someone that wanted to buy it I said no I told you I needed it for my daughter he said ok i'll call you when I find the motor I said ok fine maybe weeks later I got a call from my sister asking who is that man driving your truck I said my truck is still in the shop waiting to get fix she says no I'm looking at someone driving your truck now. I ask how do you know it's my truck she said cause I know the truck when I see it. well weeks after that I get another call from a friend saying she seen someone driving my truck also. I told her my sister said the same thing I told her my truck was still at the shop and he's not done working on it so I called (Twan )on the phone to ask how was things going with the truck and I said to him that people was saying they seen someone driving the truck that's when he told me the City towed your truck off the lot cause he have too many cars on the lot I called the City and they have never been over there to tow cars at all so I called (Twan) back and told him what the City had said he then said call the police the police and I talk to (Twan) in person at the shop he said he didn't know what happen he said he thought I pick up the truck but yet he still had the keys and not once he had called me to see if I had came to pick up the truck the police told him that he was the same cop that came yesterday for another young lady with the same problem and that they had found her truck all he could say was I'm going to find out what happen to your truck and get back with you a little after that the shop move to a different location I didn't hear from him anymore didn't even know where they had moved to I called the number they had and never could get (Twan) on the phone. a year or two later a friend calls saying the shop is located at 8990 W Florissant Ave 63136. I was told I hade five years to file. All I'm asking for is the money I paid him / 4'000.00 for my truck and to let him know that it's not good to use people."
