Claimant says:
"We booked United Transport Inc Job #620826 to move our estate settlement items from Port lavaca Tx to Pottstown PA. We setup the whole job with inventory and pricing as well as sent them a $100.00 check for pickup on July 13th. We booked the Job around May 23, 2012. We flew to Tx and packed everything. We waited for pickup and no show on the 13th.
I was told two days prior to pickup that I would receive a phone call the night before pickup with the estimated arrival time. We get a phone call on pickup day 12:00PM stating we are out of the pickup zone, "Sorry". We had to hustle that day to make new arrangements as we were leaving the next day to fly home. I forfeited my flight back to PA and booked a uhaul truck and drove our items back.
The company did refund us the $100.00 dollar deposit. But I am still out of $400.50 above what their moving costs were and what I spent to drive our load home.
Items are $150.00 Flight cost $42.00 Room 1 night $7.50 Tolls $150.00 in gas
$31.00 food The $ 150.00 gas was adjusted from the total of their charge of $1091.40
I called the Company on July 23rd and was told there was nothing they would do that no contract was broken " Sorry" Go ahead and write your bad reviews and Call the BBB. Our rating is great and hung up on me. Basically they don't care about their customers. "Who does this to a client?"
I am out $400.00 because I took them at their word and they don't care. I'm not asking for anything more than what they wronged me for."

  • As of today Aug 23, 2012 United Transport Inc has still not responded to the cash claim settlement that they agreed to and pay me the cash settlement of $426.39.

  • As of Today I have reopened this claim as the Company United Transport Inc.
    Did not Honor the agreement as agreed a pond by both party's.
    This is just another example why no one should even consider using United Transport Inc as a moving company.
