Claimant says:
"My job consist of heavy lifting and bending and moving heavy equipment and I was injured last May and out of work for three months without pay. I submitted medical documentation and OWCP forms to the USPS and received little to no response. The Department of Labor has been useless to me, why do this federal agency even exist when they do nothing for the American work force. The work force in this country is over work do to layoffs and greed. We are working under staffed while being forced to keep up with machinery (conveyors) with zero protection from injury and unsafe working conditions. During my injury and rehabilitation the USPS would not let me return to work without doctor clearance and my doctor said he would not clear me to return until he thought I was ready or else I would have mad matters worst. As a result of my doctors prognosis, which was three months of rest, medication and physical therapy, I am back to work full duty without limitation and little to no pain. The USPS has people that have been on lite duty for years and I do the right thing by following my doctors orders so that I could return at a 100% and perform my full job duties opposed to sitting on limited duty for years. claim #022554482"

  • 05-01-2009 — was the start of a three months without pay which should have been O.W.C.P case. It it a moral obligation of management to at least take the responsibility for the health and safety of the employees knowing how they like to work us to deft. I followed doctor orders so that I could return at a 100% and perform my job duties for which was hired to do.
