Sara T. says: I liked my Fitbit step counter and wore it all the time. The 'flicking' thing didn't work to measure sleep--but I used an app for that anyway and didn't bother about the Fitbit one. Then I decided to hook the Fitbit up to an Aria scale I bought from Amazon. The weights were so far off it wasn't funny. Contacted Fitbit and they said to weigh myself 5x consecutively to set it. I did that--twice. Weights still varied widely. The emails from their customer service would have been funny if they weren't so ludicrous. They keep telling me that the weights - which varied by as much as 5.6 lb within 5 minutes - were within an acceptable range (I think it was 2 lb or something). They could actually SEE the weights in my account. We both could. They were like outsourced zombies trained to say the same thing, even when it was demonstrably untrue. I had a defective scale and I wrongly assumed they'd want to know and fix it. They didn't. Amazon couldn't have cared less because FitBit's crack Aria team said it was not defective. So I ended up shipping the damn thing back and I was out of pocket for the cost of the shipping. When my FitBit tracker fell off my wrist while I was traveling (and yes it's true--those stupid bands eventually lose their staying power) I didn't bother to replace it. Will not buy FitBit products again.
