I changed all the appliances in my kitchen to Frigidaire. My husband woke me up about 12:30 am this past Saturday night (7/8/17) and the house was filled with a thick white smoke that burned our lungs and eyes. We got my 83 year old mother out of the house. Deteremined there was no fire and began trying to clear the smoke and figure out where the smoke was coming from. We found a skilled sitting on the stove top that was smoking. The knobs were all in the off position but it was clear the stove had cooked the skillet. My husband turned the breaker off to the stove. I called Frigidaire this morning. At first they only stated that it was not under warranty and it was not on the recall list. They would send me to an authorized repair person. I persisted and spoke to Tiffany in the corporate office. She advised pretty much the same thing but offered me 50% off repairs. I laughed. I said your stove turned on by itself, almost burned my house down, almost killed 3 people and you are offering me 50% off repairs! I will never buy Frigidaire again and will do as much as I can to keep anyone else from buying from them.

Terrible warranty even so it is 10 years . No parts in Houston had to have several repairs on both of my units, one is 1 year old now the other around 3 years old. Each units has broke down several time including the heating unit. I had to wait up to 2 weeks for parts and had to pay for shipping on one occasion. One of the part I would have considered a major part being the coil, but Nordyne decided to send the part at my cost instead of replacing the unit. At that time the unit was less than 3 month old.

I talked with a Mr. Corey of the service dept. at 410 809-2130 he stated that to send some one out it will cost me a service charge, even if the item under warrenty.
