Karl K. says: We were sold on a "peak rut spot and stalk archery elk hunt in the best herd in Canada" outside of Calgary in addition to bringing my hunting buddies 75yo father along on the 14 hr drive for a color phase bear they had been "scouting" for him. Total bill almost 20k.
On arrival, our guide informed us that he hadn't had time to scout due to sheep hunt obligations and that this was not a prime area for elk (he doesn't even bother hunting there). It would be standing in the edge of agro fields where they were able to get permission hoping for a pass by and that there were no rut possibilities. They had sold two prior archery tags and one returned with a rifle for a bull after no shot opportunities the year before. Also, they hadn't even seen any bears locally for months and knew this prior to selling the additional hunt to our senior hunter (who flew home after realizing the scam). Our local guide quickly realized the subterfuge by GSS and made the best of a very awkward situation.
Our contact Adrian Skok knowingly oversold the experience and we were never able to have any meaningful reply from anyone at GSS including Todd Cast, Rick Kennerknecht, or Adrian Skok.
Be aware and informed before booking anything where they may be involved. Our money is gone and now they appear to have gone into the wind....

Bob J. says: Booked a mountain goat hunt 3 years ago for October 2019. In August 2019, received a call from the outfitter that he'd only been paid about 25% of what was owed. Global Sporting Safaris stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from 100 clients- verified this with the FBI and Wyoming police, however, they couldn't be charged "criminally". Had to come up with several thousand dollars on very short notice to go on my hunt. Never do any business with Rick Kennerknecht.
