Gordon H. says: a Couple years ago I lost my web builder/Host and had to find a NEW Host. Well the Most Reasonable provider was HostGator. I am a Disabled Viet Nam Veteran, I run an Animal Rescue. I make a $750.00 a month from Uncle Sam, So the Money I get from My website goes to help the Animals survive. The website HostGator is Hosting for me is the same site from my previous Builder. I was advised by HostGator , They could ONLY Host my site NO Maintenance of any type, I was told I would need to build a NEW WordPress site. Well for HostGator to build the site was WAY too much for my meager budget, But I was told I could do MOST of the work myself. That turn into me trying to learn how to use WordPress and a Whole lot of applications I have Never done to try to Build this New site. To summarize: It Cost me $600.00 to get what I have done and was told it would be an additional $300 to $400 to get it closer to being able to shut down my Old site and opening the New one. So here I sit Years later, $600.00 poorer and when I need any work done on my Old site I use UpWork and get a Freelancer to do it for a Sum. So NO I am Not too happy with HostGator. I do like the low monthly payments and from time to time when I have a simple question the people I have talked to at Host Gator area Helpful and Friendly. I would like my $600.00 Refunded since I cannot use the WordPress site !
