Maria S. says: Worst experience in an emergency room. After 6 excruciating hours of waiting in an ER hallway, I was seen by a 29-year-old kid who did not know what she was doing. With open rooms everywhere, they stuck me in the ER hallway next to bags of garbage and a drunk woman. It was noisy because it was next to a desk and the staff talked incessantly while a woman moaned for help in a room across from me. I went to help her and they told me not to. I complained about the garbage and they moved it after several hours. I was stuck in the hallway next to a drunk woman who shared my first name, and a doctor came over, yelling at me: "I understand that you had something to drink tonight." I told him he had the wrong person. He roughly grabbed my arm, and then when he saw his mistake, flounced off to the next bed in the hallway. One of the staff -- no one takes responsibility for anything here --said it was "not my decision to put two women with the same first name next to each other in the hallway."
