Diane N. says: On 14 Jan 19, I signed a contract transfer from Bill Haskins with SS-MO, Inc. dba MO Singles for $500 to provide 8 introductions/dates (and 2 months hold time) per my general specifications. The MO Singles location was at 10411 Clayton Rd, Ste #102, Frontenac, MO,63131. Phone number: 314-984-0025. The MO Singles customer service representative that co-signed the agreement and falsely advertised MO Singles' services was Laurie J. Piper.

At this time, MO Singles provided a welcome packet which Laurie covered very thoroughly. It included very detailed material on service level agreements and performance expectations on the company's part and customer's part in order to uphold the contract. For example on both the "FAQ" and the "Important Facts" sheet, it expressly states that "our personal matching making team selects a new match for you to meet every 3-4 weeks after receiving feedback from you."

In early February 2019, I was provided a match that did not meet my geographical parameters (within 1 hr of my hometown going west towards my work location of STL), but felt pressured to accept the introduction by Patrice, my matchmaker, so I did. The match did not connect with me in the specified time frame (48 hrs) per the engagement rules of MO Singles and I asked to be provided another match. This gentleman was not a match as he did not meet the geographical parameters.

I continued to maintain routine contact with Patrice and Jay (another match maker) to provide additional input into what I was looking for in a match and check in. Both Patrice and Jay were very slow to respond - especially when I would raise an issue or question why it was taking so long to provide matches. Sometimes it would take well over a week to return a 5 minute phone call. Despite lots of promises, MO Singles was unable to provide a match that was within the general parameters of what I specified. For example, one gentleman was clearly 10 years out of my age range. Another gentleman was not "active" - which was an important lifestyle factor for me. The match maker was clearly not "utilizing my matchmaking profile" and/or "putting in time and effort in each and every match selected for" me per the MO Singles; "important facts" sheet or the match maker would have not presented these gentleman as "matches" when they clearly were not matches.

By the end of March 2019, it became very apparent that MO Singles had falsely advertised its services and consistently failed to uphold their contractual responsibilities. On 31 March 2019, I contact Jay to request a refund and to terminate my contract. On 2 April 2019, I spoke with Jay via phone regarding the non-delivery of services per the contract and false advertising and reiterated my request for the refund. She verbally indicated that she understood and agreed that MO Singles was unable to deliver the contracted services and would speak to her Director, Heather, about the refund. After 6 April 2019, I connect with Jay again and she informed me that MO Singles would not issue a refund and her Director would not speak to me regarding the ongoing services issues.

I again reached out on 26 June 2019 and spoke with Kalle, the manager over the MO Singles STL office, to reiterate my concerns over the contract breach and false advertising by MO Singles. I stressed my desire to reach a mutually agreeable solution to terminate the contact with at least a partial refund. Unlike previous customer service reps, Kalle did seem to be genuinely be interested in reaching a resolution. However, he passed the request off to his Director, Heather, who refused to speak with me or even consider a mutually agreeable solution for both parties.

While my first preference is to resolve this without a 3rd party and unnecessary publicity, MO Singles has refused to make this possible.
