These are ABSOLUTELY the worst apartments that I've ever lived in and there is nothing I can say positive about this complex. The single pane windows are EXTREMELY HORRIBLE with insulation (uncomfortably hot and humid in the summer, freezing cold in the winter where your electricity will be sky-high bill around $120 from heating and from the A/C). I got written up for putting up ¾ inch insulation panels trying to add some insulation. Same time the manager was allowed to build a fence around her patio which is B.S. The maintenance is ridculacly slow, awful, and pathetic, the maintenance guy would come out and only fix things halfway before running off quickly. He would try to fix something and if he can’t fix it, then he would tell you that it’s unfixable. When you try to give him any feedback (I’ve work as a maintenance tech for IBM for 10 years) about anything electrical, he would give you excuses (false reasons) why it can’t work. Also he would also act like he can’t do anything wrong, when actually he can’t even fix himself out of a paper bag. The complex community there makes the place worst than the ghetto in any big town…Since I lived there, there’s been two drug dealers, a woman that got stabbed by her boyfriend and laid in the parking lot until the ambulance and police got there (They didn’t even tell the new tenants about it). There have been break-ins, bums coming around digging in the trash, and one man those video tape young girls at the playground. The parents there have no discipline and let the kids run havoc through the neighborhood and parking lot. Middle school and High school kids will stand at the bus top and scream at 8:30 in the morning. The kids will go around calling each other racial words, bang, and scratch up surrounding cars. When you go to management to complain about it, they tell you that they will resolve it and nothing gets done !!! Laundry on site is about 80% of the time not working because the machines are always broken. The parking lot looks like it came out of a horror show, it’s always flooding in the rain season due to poor leveling and there is NO HANDICAP PARKING!!!!!!!!! Now the biggest issue is the EXTREME MOLD issue due to the lack of ventilation in the bathroom and throughout the apartment. It grows everywhere, winter time the windows gets bad moisture all over it that comes back every 25-30 minutes which makes a full time job. I alerted the on site manager, their supervisor, the maintenance man, and they all told me that it’s my responsibility to clean up the mold with a bleach solution. Now the new tentances are realizing how crappy this place is that people are leaving to another place faster than pirates on a sinking ship!! Parkbrook Manor is a huge money pit where management of all levels doesn’t care about you and want only your money!
