Sonia M. says: On Wednesday, 9.18.18, around 1030p I went into the emergency room with my son who had complaints about not being able to breath, having to vomit, and I was concerned about his tonsils. After being g triaged in the lobby full of people, which I believe is ridiculous because people can hear your conversation, we were taken into the back only to sit in the family waiting room for about 3 hours. My son was examined in the hall in front of others 2 times. We were only taken in the result one time for him to be examined for about 3 mins. 3 people were brought back there to wait AFTER we were taken back there to wait and they all got rooms before us. In fact, we never got a room. It was highly uncomfortable for my 3 year old son and I. He fell asleep and I had to hold him. Had we been given a room it may not have been so bad. After the supervising doctor checked him out in the family waiting room in front of others the last time and they did a swab of his tonsils no one came back to check on us. I finally asked why my son has not been given a room. I was told the equipment needed for the other people were in the rooms. I’m sure all of the rooms have the same stuff in them, so I was not, did not, and do not buy nor accept that bs. A completely different doctor finally came over and asked me if we had even been seen yet because we had been sitting there for so long. I told him no and expressed my displeasure with them. He then went to find out what was going on. He, not one of the doctors who examined my son, came back to tell me what the doctor said. Excuse my mouth, but that was the shittiest service I have ever received at a hospital. I told those idiots my son ate fish as he has before, but I was worried he had developed an allergy. My son never says he sick, even when he is sick, which is why I was worried. I feel like HIPPA was also violated. What if he had aids or something? Everyone waiting in that family waiting room would have heard about my sons personal information. I am beyond outraged and I’m going to make a complaint to the BBB about this and I hope that this hospital is shut down sooner than later. Talk about the lack of bedside manner, care, compassion, and disregard of basic rules and policies.
