Gary B. says:
When I had the issues with our 2013 VW Passat SEL Premium and was treated as though I did not know what I was talking about, it told me a lot about Volkswagen and how it takes care of customer concerns (oh, that is what you should expect from a car of this cost/value!) Then, after several pieces of correspondence from VW America I was sent a letter offering an additional $1500 off the price of a new VW - where the exact same issues existed, as I had driven other 2013 models (Passat and Jetta) as well as the new (at that time) 2014 models. They were all manufactured with the same defect resulting in wind noise at ear level on the driver's side window.
Now that Volkswagen has been found to submit false information about its diesel products and emissions, I am not surprised at how I was treated (and many others who received no satisfaction for the same wind noise issue). It speaks volumes to their honesty and integrity as a car company doing business in the U.S.
I have continued to tell my story each and every time I have the opportunity when cars are a discussion topic, and particularly when someone is contemplating buying a VW. I know personally of eight people I have dissuaded from buying a VW after they had pretty much decided it would be their choice, so I feel I have scored at least eight minor victories in this war I have with VW. I will never own a Volkswagen again and will continue to tell the truthful story of how I was treated after spending $35,000 on one of their faulty cars. Shame on them!

I took the vehicle back to the dealership about three times and then a regional representative came to the dealership, drove t...
