Kevin F. says: I don’t need a stranger on a laptop sitting in on my patient doctor visit. The three lab girls stuck me three times and couldn’t get it done and then told me to go to Medical Arts clinic to get blood drawn. I did! The ladies there drew blood first time. Poor service at Medcare!

Nancy K. says: My doctors office has become a nightmare to deal with since Wellmed took over recently. I've never had office issues over the past 15 yrs that I've been seeing my Dr..but now it's a nightmare

Nancy K. says: I have had nothing but problems with the staff since well-med took over my doctor's office which I have been going to for well over 15 years. It's become like a fortress you can never get in to talk to anybody over the phone when you leave messages they don't return the calls then when you continually call back to get resolutions to an issue they treat you as if you are the problem because you keep calling them back and then they continually ignore you I think they're just hoping that I will get frustrated enough and just go away

Paula R. says: Billing for codes that were never performed. Doctors are uneducated. The doctor attending to me never went over my medications. She changed my diagnosis without informing me leading to unnecessary diagnostic tests. My original issue is still unresolved. Front desk is unprofessional. Overall rating I'd give them is unsatisfied!

Debbie R. says: My 77 year old father had knee replacement surgery. He has now been in the hospital for 6 days awaiting Wellmed to approve or deny a skilled nursing facility. He lives alone and I, his only child and only living relative, live more than 3 hours away. The request was made on a Thursday and they responded that it could take up to 72 hours. We then had the request “expedited” on Friday. They said that it would take approximately 24 hours. We are now on the 6th day, still with no word. Knowing that it was a holiday weekend, you would think that they would review the request that Friday, but that wasn’t the case. If your turn-around time is 72 hours and you know that you are going to be out of the office for 3 days, you think that you would request help to have those requests reviewed before the close of business on Friday.
They told us that it would take 7 to 14 days to have the surgery approved in the first place. The surgery was originally approved and then had to be rescheduled due to a different medical emergency. They took 14 days to approve the surgery the second time, even though it had already been approved once.
This is the worst company that I have ever worked with and if this is how they do business, and United Healthcare contracts with them on their behalf, we will be changing insurance companies at the next available opportunity.
