Upset M. says: The delivery staff was amazing everything else horrible. Do not expect to go there and not wait hrs. and hrs. Went when my daughter had covid and pregnant. They stuck her in a tiny room that was so hot nurse was complaining. The dr came in checked her said we would be going home after that. After an hr. later find out now getting x-ray due to her asthma. They had already run tests to show she was fine did not even need x-ray at all then for 3 hrs. kept getting they are discussing what way to handle it. The outcome we don't see any reason to do anything. So waste of time that somebody else could have been seen. Then when she had the baby sue to extenuating circumstances we had special permission to have my mother and I switch off one time a day due to other medical issues my daughter had where could not be alone at all. The second day a nurse do not know her name on 6 east I believe might have been west decided on her own she did not like that we had permission to do that so when my mom came told security there was no such permission and no notes on the matter. She then proceeded to tell me when I told her we had it all approved that I was lying. I told her the nursing supervisor approved it outside delivery room. She then had attitude and told me we don't have supervisors in delivery. I explained that the supervisor happened to be right there and made aware even her dr said she could not be alone at any time. My mom had to wait 3 hrs outside until the one who gave permission was contacted and stated what we had already said. The nurse we had that night was same from first night and not only was it passed along verbally that this was approved she showed me that she did even have it written down. She said she did that for the exact reason we would not have an issue. The same nurse who caused all of this the first night we were there I asked where the public bathroom was as was told one in room only for patient. She got huffy and puffy because I asked then as I walked towards it her, and a male nurse started making fun of the fact I limp. Well, I have a prosthetic leg from above the knee so yes, I limp. I have never been so mortified as to how we were treated and how the two nurses proceeded to make fun of my medical issue and how I walk. I think Woonsocket hospital is the worst. Well let me tell you I had both of my kids there and was treated so much better. All I know of the rude nurse is very heavy-set blond not making fun just description on the night of September 4th into the morning of the fifth she was on that floor wearing a pink top sitting at the very end in front of the window as you get onto that unit. That nurse has no business in the medical field let alone working with new moms. My daughter had severe anxiety attacks over everything and how it happened after going through a very very high-risk labor for 2 days straight to then have that happen. On top of it when I was not there the same nurse went into my daughters' room and was very very rude to her because she did not like the fact, we had approval for this. My daughter had 6 miscarriages before this healthy baby and could have died during delivery. To then have to deal with all of that is inexcusable. We had already been there with high stress at the fact could have lost my daughter never mind neither of us having any sleep for days and being completely drained physically and mentally. I would never ever ever recommend anybody high risk or with issues to go there. We were even told after we called the dr to confirm she can't be alone with the baby at all for any reason until we know how her body would react and recover from everything that he is just a dr has no say at all.
