About
Nicole Turchiano
My name is Nicole Turchiano, and I was born June, 22, 1994 in Leesburg, Florida. I am currently residing in Mooresville, Indiana. I have been on my own for about a year and a half now, my mom died when I was 11, and my dad up and left about two years ago. I have severely high expectations for my future. I am enrolled at Ivy Tech Community college for the Fall 2012 term and am pursing an associates degree in Paralegal Studies/Legal Secretary. I have had a very challenging childhood, and much of that has to do with flaws in some parts of the legal system. My ambitions are to achieve a degree in law and participate in trying to correct some of the flaws in the legal system. Also, I would like to fight for justice for those that aren't available to do it themselves. I yearn to improve the lives of people that have dealt with a struggle, likewise to myself.
Views on the practice of law
In my perceptions, the practice of law is inspiring to me. Those that have the ability to help others and bring justice to the world make such a difference that many don't see. I have talked to many people that work in the practice of law and I love being able to distinguish the differential views of each person. The legal system to my views are slightly askew in some ways. There are points that certain cases and situations that I believe aren't dealt with properly, but on the other hand each person in the field does what they are able to when it comes to being civil and abiding my guidelines. I look at a situation from both sides, a comparison of each argument, each predicament. I attempt not to be one sided when looking at the facts. All in all, my views of the legal system and law practice are mostly positive; each part of the system has intergrated bases of knowledge and each one of them is greatly inspiring.
Reason to be here
I feel that I should be considered for this internship because I have a high passion in making the world a better, more just place. I consider myself to have above average people skills, and I am a very hardworking person. The way I look at life is that, no one is going to give you anything, you have to earn, work hard to be someone; to make the world notice you, and the good things that you have done. I have complete confidence in any work that I do, and I make sure it's done to the fullest. I know for a fact, if I was considered for the internship, I would very hard and dillegently and make the company believe that I deserve this.
