Anna Massoglia works at Bloomberg BNA as a research analyst in the Tax & Accounting Publishing Division, where she writes about international tax law and regulatory issues related to expatriates, visas, tax treaties, foreign workers, social insurance taxes, and other payroll regulations in more than 90 countries for the International Payroll Decision Support Network. Anna previously served as the political nonprofits researcher at the Center for Responsive Politics focusing on nonprofit political activity,  undisclosed money in elections, transparency, and other campaign finance issues. Anna is also a contributor to the Daily Caller and Lawyerist, where she writes on ethics, technology, and other topics related to the law.

Anna graduated magna cum laude with degrees in political science and psychology with honors from North Carolina State University. Anna earned her J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia School of Law, where she provided pro bono representation to taxpayers in disputes with the IRS at the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and Legislation Clinic as well as serving in other capacities.

Anna has completed an an extended placement with the Bureau of Energy Resources Public Policy and Diplomacy Division through the  U.S. State Department Student Foreign Service program and held positions with a political action committee, government relations firm, the D.C. Superior Court Senior Judge’s Chambers, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law Voting Rights Project, the D.C. Council Committee on Government Operations, and the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as in the private sector and with other nonprofit organizations.
