For more than 25 years, I have served clients in a broad range of areas with a focus on complex and commercial litigation (including arbitration and mediation) relating to construction, real estate, contracts, product liability, insurance claims, consumer protection, labor law, personal injury and environmental issues, as well as mergers, acquisitions and closings for both residential and commercial transactions.

My clients benefit directly from my years of experience in firms of varying sizes and scope. I have worked for some of the nation's largest law firms including the 1700-lawyer global firm Reed Smith, LLP, where I was construction litigation counsel, followed by equity partnerships at both a regional and local firm. I recently founded Cartusciello & Kozachek LLC in conjunction with my colleague Neil S. Cartusciello.

Before attending law school, I worked in the construction industry for a number of years. I have always had a passion for historic, old construction and undertook to renovate the 7,000+-square-foot previously crumbling home. My construction clients know I walk in their shoes, because I have.

I serve on the Legislative Affairs Committee of the New Jersey Builders Association where I work on legislation that impacts builders, contractors and business owners. I was selected to receive the Chairman’s award for exemplary service.

I have an active practice in the Federal and State courts of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania and have handled construction, environmental, commercial and insurance-related matters throughout the United States and abroad.
