While our home was being built we would find rotten oranges, chicken bones, 1/2 a burrito shoved under the bath tubs. Bottles of pee placed on ledge of medicine cabinets. They put the baseboards down before the tile, without cleaning the floor first, so we have sand and chunks of dirt on them! Was to be sanded & repainted before move in
Had 8 & 10 year old tilling our house NO joke! Asked the 10 year old how long has he been doing this "2 years my brother just started".
Stopped by to find 6 kids in our house NO adult watching them these kids filled both washer drains with rocks from our front yard. when I used our washing machine our house was flooded. Called the plumber they have you call. Had him put a camera down the line first. When done he said this happens all the time here. These kids put rocks on the tracks of all sliding doors. Constantly pulling ROTTON food & trash from food out of the base for the island!
There was ZERO oversight while building this home! Three different supervisors during construction. None of the construction workers are from this country and they work them 7 days a week. MUST make the quota!!! I believe they take out all their frustration on our homes!!
We did our walkthrough, starting with this new guy saying "This is my LAST walkthrough going to a different company tomorrow" made a list of all the problem areas to be fixed before we move in. This list was never seen again! NOTHING on the list was done!
We had 30 days to move in and make another list of work to be completed. This was extremely stressful & daunting. I filled 2 warranty work requests sheets with work needing attention.
After 30 days of NO CONTACT from Taylor Morrison's new superintendent, I called Taylor Morrison's warranty department to find out if my paper work was turned in from the supper or do I need to fax it. NOTHING WAS TURNED IN! I posted a scathing comment on their web page about all the crapy work done on this house (shower trim cut 1' short & NOT attached to the floor). Finally the warranty guy contacted me.
As I started looking through this house it was evident their was deliberate malicious destruction of property by the workers and their children to this house. The painters scratched every toilet seat and cabinet door in this house & poured white paint down the dark brown stone sink (won't come out filling both sides 1' around ring with splatters on both sides). They also did not put anything down before painting trim, millions of white spots ALL OVER the tile. The kids that tiled have nicked all the door jams from 3 feet down. Looks like a family of 6 has lived here for 10 years!
Their were scratches on counter tops & shower walls. when one of them came to fix 2 scratches on the stone counter, he just put skied marks across it. When he had to come back he tried to intimidate me saying "I've finished this house". So I took him in & showed him the skid marks & scratches on the Counter and shower walls. He buffed out the counter and said he didn't have enough polishing material for anything else. Another guy came out and finished the work.
Everyone who worked on this house got tired of what they were doing and just walked away! If a mistake was made, there was no attempt to fix them.
I started noticing what I thought was dust on the furniture hours after dusting. The warranty guy found out their was a filter bringing air in from outside located inside the return filter. When pulled out, it was evident NO AIR was getting through this filter!!! Replaced it & put the system on pulling inside air. Still having dust hours after dusting,
This is when I learned..... Taylor Morrison and the installers Chas Roberts have a contract between them. For the first year Taylor Morrison owns my warranty & all components to the air handler system. I didn't recall reading this in the contract so I looked. NOTHING!!! I took pictures of the dust and enlarged it for the tech to see. He said it was insulation. He fixed the main contact by wrapping it with tape. Thought it was sucking air in from the attic. Still having dust house after dusting. From the second guy that came out he claimed (fixed small breaches in the hoses extending out into the house). By this time we are waking with headaches every morning! I have repeatedly asked for copies of the repair orders because Chas is denying the repairs & insulation problem. Chas Roberts sends out another person 4 days after we replaced countertops in the kitchen. Having had to cutout the whole for the gas grill inside the house. I showed him the pictures he admitted it was insulation. Looked at the furniture and said it's dust. Asked if the system was ever pressure tested. Know one knows & we still don't know if it was! I have repeatedly asked for copies of their contract between the two of them & copies of the R/o's.
The last tech came out again to pressure test the system, started by saying to his helper that he has repeatedly told me it's just dust. They spent 4 hours trying to complete the job. Constantly making phone calls to the person he borrowed the equipment from & having his helper pull up the manual for instructions. Used 3,000 sf when it's 4,550 square foot. When complete said "this house is better than any house he has ever done". "In case you were wondering I used to teach people how to use this equipment". WHAT ?????? ARE YOU KIDDING ?????
WARRNING!!!! Their is a reason for this contract between these two!!!!!!!
THIS HOUSE IS MAKING US SICK !!!!!
